Jessie Reyez Boston Concert reviews
An AMAZING show it was, maybe one of the best I've ever been to, & I've been to a lot. They had so much energy throughout the whole set & the crowd seemed to really enjoy them. Starting with NY's State Champs, a pop punk band who I've been wanting to see since I heard they would be on this tour. Issues, who I've been dying to see since I missed them at Warped Tour, were perfect. Jenna(Mcdougall) was great! She was jumping around everywhere & looked like she was having so much fun. Next was Tonight Alive who I didn't really stick around for, mainly because I heard State Champs members were meeting people at their merch table after their set & I luckily got to meet one of them! She was jumping around everywhere & looked like she was having so much fun. It was probably one of the coolest opening's I've ever seen. Between Tyler(Carter)'s angelic voice & Michael(Bohn)'s deep screams, their music is the perfect blend of metalcore & R&B. Starting out with a really cool Pokemon theme, including a Pokeball drum set, amp's designed as Gameboy games & a banner with each member remade into a Pokemon trainer plus the Pokemon theme song playing until they were ready to come on stage. Finally, it was time for Jessie Reyez who I've seen multiple times & they never cease to amaze me, every single time I see them. All in all, it was an incredible show. Their opening song, Satellite, from their new CD Future Hearts, was the perfect introduction. They should've been opening with this song since they started playing shows, that's how good it is. They played 20 songs or so, some old & some new, & the whole crowd sang along to every single one.
